4 Characteristics of Promises Promises made to… Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Israel, Christians, etc. Promises to believers are… Good (1 Kings 8:56), holy (Psalm 105:42), exceedingly great and precious (2 Peter 1:4), confirmed in Christ (Romans 15:8), certain in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20), fulfilled in Christ (Luke 1:69-73) Promises to believers include… Christ (2 Samuel 7:12-13), the gospel (Romans 1:1-2), life in Christ (2 Timothy 1:1), Christ’s second coming (2 Peter 3:4), new heaven and earth (2 Peter 3:13)
