4 Strategic Direction Sarnia-Lambton’s petrochemical and refining sector and related support infrastructure provide a sound business case for the development of  alternative energy technologies  renewable fuels  industrial bioproducts Industrial bioproducts provide potential to replace or supplement materials based on hydrocarbons with new applications based on renewable sources such as corn, soybeans, and biomass.
