13 3 Tiers of Support: Tier one technical assistance: Operationalizing an RPPM for D/HH Teachers RPPM for D/HH Teachers: Collaborate with the Join Together PT3 Grant to implement a Regional Personnel Preparation Model (RPPM) for certification of teachers of students who are D/HH Committed instructors ( University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Georgia State University, University of New Orleans, Valdosta State University ) Tier two technical assistance: Supporting an RPPM for O&M Specialists & an RPPM for DB Teachers Cooperative Agreement Texas Tech and U of AL Birmingham model (Collaborative Masters program for O&M)

18 Exploring possibilities: For example, pending consortium interest and desire…  Establish interstate certification contracts  Scale up recruitment to existent personnel prep programs (traditionally or distally delivered)  Build and/or replicate additional RPPMs (i.e., multi-state collaboratives using distance technology)  Coordinate and promote existent professional development offerings (or develop new PD models)  Collaborate with ABC-TE to establish the Passport to Teaching SM Certification Process in low incidence disabilities (alternate route based on national standards)  PRIDE Grant – FL and GA students get grants for books, stipend scholarship
