Dr.P.S.SUBRAMANYAM QUALIFICATIONS: Dr.P S Subrahmanyam received his Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering in the year 1960 from Andhra University, Govt. College of Engineering, Kakinada & M.Tech. Degree in Electrical Power Systems from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in the year 1977. He received his PhD on Six Phase Systems from IIT Madras in the year 1983.
PUBLICATIONS: He published a number of papers in National and International Journals, conferences and he authored several text books. HEADSHIP and RESEARCH GUIDANCE: He headed the E.E.E., E.C.E., C.S.E. and I.T. Depts. at different times in different colleges. He guided a number of B. Tech., M. Tech. and Ph.D. Projects in E.E.E. and some B.Tech. Projects in C.S.E. He has the credit of getting all the B. Tech. Projects in C.S.E. done in the college itself, guided by the Faculty of C.S.E., for the First batch of C.S.E. Students in V.B.I.T.
As Principal and H.O.D, of C, S. E. and I.T. Dept. each Semester he taught one subject each for C.S.E and I.T. Students. In V.B.I.T. too he headed the C.S.E and I.T. Dept. for 3 years. At present he is Professor Emeritus in E.E.E. in V.B.I.T. since 2009. He is Dean for Academics and Research at SCET. Basically from Electrical Engineering discipline, he cross- migrated to the field of Computer Science and Engineering. He is an expert in the Fields of EEE, ECE. C. S.E, I.T., Controls and Instrumentation. He got introduced to Computers as early as in 1970 at IIT. Bombay.
Starting the C.S.E. Branch at K. S. R. M. College of Engineering, Cuddapah. he had been heading the C.S.E. Dept since 1991 at different Institutions like i) K.S.R.M.C.E., ii) V.N.R.V.J.I.E.T, iii) J.B.I.E.T. and iv) V.B.I.T. His areas of interest include Fault analysis, six phase system & six phase induction motors. He has successfully guided Four Ph. D scholars including one as recently as in Jan, 2012. Two have submitted their Ph.D. Thesis to JNTUH in June, 2012. Two more Scholars are about to submit their Ph. D Thesis soon.
EXPERIENCE: Dr. P.S.Subramanyam occupied several faculty positions in J.N.T.U, and other Private Engineering colleges affiliated to S.V. University and J.N.T.U. He headed the E.E.E., E.C.E. and C.S.E & I.T. Departments in different Engineering colleges.. Since 1991 he headed C.S.E. Department in different Institutions. He was the Principal of J.B.I.E.T., Hyderabad for six years. Also he has Industrial experience in Neyveli Thermal Station in Automatic control, Protection and Electrical Interlocks for the first two 50 M.W. Units.. PROFESSIONAL BODY MEMBERSHIPS: Dr. Pisupati Sadasiva Subramanyam is a fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India), Fellow of National Federation of Engineers, Senior Member of IEEE, Member of Computer Society of India, and Member of Indian Society for Technical Education. He is instrumental in starting I.E.E.E. student branches in different colleges, getting awards for those branches and Best I.E.E.E. student branch counselor award for himself twice from I.E.E.E. Hyderabad Section.
