Insulin is naturally produced by the body and regulates blood sugar levels People with diabetes cannot produce insulin Before Banting and Best’s discovery, diabetes was a death sentence Banting sold the rights to insulin to the University of Toronto for $1 Insulin is one of the greatest medical inventions of all-time and has saved the lives of millions of people
