5 When you sign the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) you are promising that you will follow the rules contained in the AUP. If you break the rules you are breaking your promise. Honor your promise and you will earn trust. Promise, Honor,Trust

6 Remember: Students, parents, and teachers have “NO EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY” when using district technology. Privacy

7 Student Responsibility iPads are expensive. If yours breaks, it takes time to replace, and you need it for school. Use good judgment with your technology. You are responsible for your choices with this. Who are you when no one is watching? Since this is a unique and powerful device it comes with certain responsibilities. “With great power, comes great responsibility.” ~Spiderman

8 You are responsible for supervising your child’s use of technology at home. Tools to help you are available on your school’s website: http://www.rsu10.org Maintain an ongoing conversation about use of technology. This is a device on loan to you by the school district and there may be financial costs for negligence. The MLTI iPads are for your use as well, you should have access and all passwords associated with the device. Since this is a unique and powerful device it comes with certain responsibilities. 18 Digital Citizenship Regional School Unit #10 maintains state-provided filters to minimize exposure to inappropriate content at school. RSU#10 holds users responsible for making educated and responsible decisions. The school unit cannot take responsibility for inappropriate content that may be accessed while in or out of school.

20 High school students will create a personal Apple ID at www.appleid.apple.com. For students under age 13, the MLTI device will be preloaded with a generic Apple ID. Students under the age of 13 must have their parents sign up and have an email associated with the account to know what they are installing on the device. Apple ID’s These are yours to keep. Forever. Don’t forget password!!!
