10 ABOUT ǀ CSR CENTRE Established in September 2007 and registered as a TRUST The only Organization in Bangladesh to support CSR Business Needs Mission: “to establish CSR as a key strategy for corporate excellence” 15 members in the Board of Trustees Sector-wise representation on the CSR Centre Board Signatory and one of the principal promoters of the UN Global Compact and its Principles and is the Focal Point For GCN Bangladesh Board of Trustees of the CSR Centre

11 This year Bangladesh has been nominated by the UNGC Headquarter, to hold “The Sixth Local Network Exchange Program”, from December 7 th to December 9 th and the “Asia/Oceania Regional Meeting 2014” from December 10 th to December 11 th, 2014. UNGC Exchange Program & Regional Meeting Opportunity: -To create positive branding of Bangladesh -To disseminate and share good practices of all UNGC Members - To increase the Network Base of GCN Bangladesh -To create further awareness on UNGC and CSR agenda - To enhance the CSR motivation in the country

12  To inform all UNGC Members  To encourage participation  To encourage support, so that it is joint effort to showcase our best practices.  To discuss how we can coordinate ourselves as UNGC members and as a unique Bangladeshi Local Network.  To identify how we can promote sustainable corporate social responsibility. Objective of Today’s Meeting:

13 Objective of the UNGC Exchange Program & Regional Meeting Exchange Program: -A peer mentor process, where a host Local Network plays a role of mentor to emerging and new UNGC Local Networks. UNGC Asia- Oceania Regional Meeting: -A regional dialogue amongst the Asia – Oceania Regions to discuss issues for taking forward the UNGC and create space for new comers to understand critical global issues linked to responsible business

14 UNGC Exchange Program Date:7-9 December  8 UNGC Country Representatives (4 LNs - Malaysia, Myanmar, Iraq, and Turkey) + 2 UN GC Office Representatives  3 days internal session but on 9 th Dec, the UNGC Steering committee members and working groups will be invited for a 1hour session with the Participants.  Exchange Program Venue, Logistics and food will be sponsored by MTB Ltd. from 7-9 th December.  UNGC Informal Networking Dinner – 7 th December (all UNGCN Bangladesh Signatories to be invited)  8 th December Sponsor Dinner by Hathay Bunano for Exchange Program Participants  9 th December DBL Group to arrange a field visit trip including the Transport for the Exchange Program Participants & Regional Meeting Participants  9 th December Sponsor Dinner by BRAC Bank Ltd for Exchange Program Participants & Regional Meeting Participants
