Objectives- Continuation and expansion of reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, critical thinking, and writing skills.  Reading 20 minutes of reading nightly 1 outside reading book per quarter (approx. 150 pages) Reading Journals Book talks and Peer Recommendation Wall Literary analysis  Vocabulary Wordly Wise workbook and quizzes  Grammar Workbook  Writing Workshop Writing process, craft lessons, and peer editing Various forms (short stories, poems, essays, etc.)

4. Technology  Laptops are used for composing and editing.  Internet is used for research and for auxiliary course materials.  English website: up-to-date assignments and handouts, relevant links. Parents can see what their child is studying & discuss with their child.
