ApoCI levels were determined in plasma of survivors (grey boxes; n=9) and non-survivors (white boxes; n=8) of severe sepsis, and adjusted for triglycerides (TG) and total cholesterol (TC) levels. The middle horizontal lines in the boxes represent the median values and the boxes represent the 25th and 75th percentiles (interquartile range, IQR).
