2 Lesson 1: Agreement in Number
A verb must agree with it’s subject in number Singular subjects take singular verbs. Ex: The new museum displays works by local artists. Plural subjects take plural verbs Chicago’s art museums display priceless paintings.

In a verb phrase, it is the first helping verb that agrees with the subject. Theresa has collected ceramic figurines.
