2 Graduation Requirements 27 credits 4 English, 3 Math (3 different levels) 3 Social Studies (including U.S. Govt.) 3 Science, 1.5 Fine Arts, 1 CTE.5 Health, 1.5 P.E. (Fit for Life required).5 Computer Tech,.5 Financial Literacy 3 Senior core classes Electives to equal 27 credits total No U’s Athletes must complete 16 core classes to meet NCAA eligibility requirements.

3 To Be On Line For Graduation All make-up must be completed on Grad Point or Davis District approved courses. Additional sources for credits: Electronic High School, Davis Connects online classes, BYU Independent Study, CE General Educ classes, approved private institutions. Seminary seniors must start the year with a minimum of 20 credits Non-seminary seniors must start the year with a minimum of 19 credits

8 Future Job Outlook 80% of the jobs in 2014 require training beyond a high school education. The basic requirement for middle-class status and earnings in both good and bad economies is a post high school education. By 2018 there will be 3 million more jobs available than there will be college graduates to fill them.

10 Special Events WSU Wildcat Welcome Feb. ? admission and a 105+ index score are required for scholarships, (a bus will be available $5 fee – official transcript provided) guaranteed scholar- ship with application before Jan. 11 ACT/SAT Scores The ACT test is given several times a year at NHS. The SAT must be taken at a college testing center. October is the last ACT test that can be taken for priority scholarship consideration. Academic scholarships from Utah colleges and universities require an index score. ACT/SAT and AP scores are listed on the bottom of transcripts. AP scores must be registered with your intended college. Presently, no Utah colleges or universities require the ACT Writing Test.

19 Federal Financial Aid www.FAFSA.ed.gov Apply online in January It is first-come first-serve Your parents must complete their 2015 Tax Return before you can file your 2016 FAFSA Application Federal financial help is available in the form of grants, work study and loans. Grants do not need to be re-paid.
