1 Our Expertise and Commitment – Driving your Success An Introduction to Transformation Offering November 18, 2013 Offices in Boston, New York and Northern VA

2 Table of Contents Transformation Offering Objectives Components and Definition of Transformation Offering Sample of Past Transformation Projects Transformation Offering Details: Architecture Assessment Roadmap Development Need for Flexibility Transformation Offering Tools and Resources Transformation Offering Folder Structure on Actualize Portal Transformation Offering Summary Document for Actualize Staff Transformation Offering Deliverable Templates Completed Transformation Project Deliverables and Project Summaries Transformation Offering Accomplishments Thus Far Transformation Offering Next Steps

3 Transformation Offering Objectives Develop formal structure around an existing, successful Actualize offering in order to increase sales focus to existing and new clients Improve the capture, execution, delivery and cost of transformation related projects by providing Actualize staff with: A formal offering that includes: Training Marketing materials A standardized framework for executing Transformation projects Project oversight and governance A standard set of templates for key deliverables Completed deliverables from prior Transformation projects Document libraries located on the Actualize portal archiving all of the above, in addition to other industry documentation

4 Components of Transformation Offering Transformation Offering Definition Understanding where a client is today, where they want to be tomorrow, and crafting a plan to get there Transformation Offering Components Architectural Assessment Business Technical Data Financial Organizational Roadmap Creation

5 Develop Scorecard of project objectives or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Architecture Assessment Summary (all may not apply) Analyze current business, technical, data, etc. architecture of the client Develop future state (considering industry best practices) Perform gap analysis Provide recommendations for improvement Roadmap Summary Develop a plan for implementing the individual improvements identified during the Architecture Assessment phase (including an inventory of projects, their sequence, estimated costs, dependencies, and resources) Roadmap Summary Transformation Offering Summary

6 Need for Flexibility The objectives and requirements of Transformation-related projects will vary from client to client. Offering components and deliverables have been designed as generic as possible to ensure the flexibility of their application to projects. For example, consider the following two prospective clients: Client A - has requested current state documentation that is focused on accounting controls to be used to identify control weaknesses and gaps in current state processes Client B - has requested current state documentation focused on identifying how similar data is obtained and used throughout the enterprise for the purpose of consolidating processes and improving data capture and utilization Project approaches and level of documentation will differ significantly between the two projects, however both fall within the Transformation Offering Transformation Offering Summary

7 Sample of Past Transformation Projects ClientProjectYearTransformation Activities ARCSubsidiary Accounting Evaluation 2012Project overview, Future State implementation plan, Solution roadmap ETradeProcedural Documentation and BPR Recommendations 2012BPR, Process Flows, Current State, Future State, Recommendations GNMAULDD Project2012Current state assessment of delivery data, recommended the development of a strategic roadmap and 6 implementation options with associated pros, cons, risks, issues and timelines. OCWENFRE Investor Reporting BPR Assessment 2012Conducted a thorough current state assessment (process view and data flow) and gap analysis of the Agency Investor Reporting function and recommended improvements through an implementation roadmap (plan, timeline for changes, costs, benefits). Also produced future state process flows and data / system views. Results were presented SF Business Head and CEO. MBIASFAS 167 Automation Evaluation 2011Actualize documented current state processes via process flows and developed detailed data, accounting, calculation, and posting requirements of a future state solution. Once requirements were documented,

8 Assess Architecture: Gather and review current documentation (eg, process and/or system flows, data models, procedures, etc) to conduct the Architecture Assessment (current documentation may not exist) Conduct analysis of current documentation and: Develop list of questions for SMEs Identify initial problem areas Schedule meeting(s) with SMEs: Conduct interviews regarding current processes and documentation Ask questions based on review of current documentation in order to fill in gaps and clarify uncertainties Enhance current state documentation (or create from scratch) Include preliminary assessment highlighting control points, gaps, dependencies, and recommendations Review current state documentation with client and receive approval Transformation Offering Details

9 Assess Architecture (continued): Perform detailed analysis of current state Create summary of findings, including: Outline of project approach Gap analysis Recommendations for improvements Design future state, incorporating industry best practices Document recommended future state architecture and present to client Obtain client feedback Finalize desired future state architecture Obtain client approval Transformation Offering Details (Continued)

10 Develop Roadmap: Review recommendations identified during the Architecture Assessment phase of the project and parse into separate projects. For each project, identify the following: High level set of activities Dependencies between the projects Timeline Cost Develop a project roadmap that sequences the projects over time so that the client can view the project priorities, dependencies and timelines (See Appendix A) Review roadmap with client manager and make changes as necessary Transformation Offering Details (Continued)

11 Project Execution – Create Final Presentation: Develop a final presentation for the client that includes: Project objective Current state observations (could include current state architecture diagrams) Recommended list of improvements (could include future state architecture diagrams, a lists of gaps between current and future state, and corresponding gaps / improvements) Recommended project roadmap to include: Matrix that lists all projects sequenced over time w/ dependencies (See Appendix A) Description of the approach used in developing the roadmap projects that are sequenced and listed in a timeline Project details that include: description, scope, assumptions, constraints, risks, estimated costs, resources, and impacts (See Appendix B) Implementation approach Transformation Offering Details (Continued)
