4 What is a portfolio? A collection of evidence used to assess learning and growth It can take several forms but we will focus mainly on e-portfolios today Much of the literature comes from K-12

5 Why would I want to develop a portfolio? Self-improvement Self-assessment Assessment by others Professional Development Learn new skills Improve teaching Display activities for others

6 How do I get started? Think about your audience and purpose Choose a format Choose a theme Assemble materials Learn new skills Plan to spend a lot of time!!
