In recent years, harm reduction service providers across the world have noted a perplexing trend: even as the number of women drug users grows, their access to services remains decidedly low. 12 11.09.2015 Seite 12 12 Our Services GTZ Training: Developing Services for Female Drug Users  Regional or national trainings of trainers are offered through international master-trainers  The manual for trainers is available in English and Russian  An interactive CD provides trainers with the necessary guidance through all modules, with tentative schedules for each module, lectures, descriptions of group work and tools, and additional reading material  We conduct a pre-training assessment to adapt every workshop to your participants’ needs

13 11.09.2015 Seite 13 13 Training Examples Pilot workshop with Ukrainian service providers - Kiev, April 2009 12 drug experts from different regions of the Ukraine were trained on behalf of the GTZ HIV/AIDS Programme in Ukraine. GTZ Training: Developing Services for Female Drug Users Training workshop in Katmandu, September 2009 22 female service providers and peer outreach workers from different regions of Nepal were trained in cooperation with GTZ and Recovering Nepal, a national network of former drug users and Nepalese drug services. Both training workshops were held by Susanne Schardt, Realitäten Bureau – international drug policy advisor and longstanding expert in developing and facilitating training workshops on various topics
