2 In 2010, the 7th Maryland decided to adopt Casey’s Infantry Tactics as the manual for instruction of the 7th MD. INFANTRY TACTICS, FOR THE INSTRUCTION, EXERCISE, AND MANOEUVRES OF THE SOLDIER, A COMPANY, LINE OF SKIRMISHERS, BATTALION, BRIGADE, OR CORPS D’ARMÉE. BY BRIG.-GEN. SILAS CASEY, U.S. ARMY. This guide is intended to aid us in our reenactment efforts to honor and accurately portray the men of the 7th Maryland Volunteer Infantry Regiment, United States Army. Background 2
