3 The Hertz Commitment To Saving the Environment The Green Collection  Line of fuel efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles with an EPA highway fuel efficiency rating of 28 miles or more per gallon.  Fleet currently contains more than 35,000 Green Collection vehicles, including the Toyota Prius.  For every reserved and paid Green Collection rental, Hertz will contribute $1 to the National Park Foundation with a minimum contribution of $1 Million! Electronic Equipment Resale & Recycle Program  Since 2004, 5,767,966 pounds of Hertz electronic equipment and 22,200 pounds of lead; 5 pounds of arsenic; 32 pounds of cadmium; & 7 pounds of mercury have been kept out of landfills. Energy Star Compliant Office Equipment Purchased Nationwide Lighting Replacement Projects & Formal Recycling Programs at Park Ridge Headquarters & OKC Facilities  Since 2003, the recycling program at Hertz OKC facilities have contributed to saving approximately 20,000 trees and 4,700,000 kilowatts of energy. Recycling Programs for Car Wash Wastewater & Used Oil  All car washes installed at Hertz facilities recycle and reuse a minimum of 80% of wastewater.  Hertz only contracts with vendors that will recycle our used oil. In 2006, over 1.2 million gallons of used oil were collected and recycled from our facilities nationwide. Hertz Corporate Update
