4. 1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-7 4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5 and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 6 and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. 7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

5. ROMANS 12:6-7 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching;

7. How do you discover your gifts? 1.Egocentric – starting point is self. What are MY gifts? Where can I use MY gifts? 2.Christocentric – starting point is love.

8. ROMANS 12:9-10 9 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. 10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

9. ROMANS 12:11-13 11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

10. Gifts are an Outflow of Love Love takes inventory of needs it sees. Love takes inventory of its resources. Love gives freely as an act of worship.

11. LUKE 22:19-20 19 And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.
