Romans 6:16 The body is dead because of sin, the spirit is alive because of righteousness. Romans 8:10 Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23 In Christ the law of the spirit of life sets free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:12 We were foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures living in malice and envy hating and being hated. Titus 3:3 One’s life hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:1-3 Life will be given by God to your mortal bodies. Romans 8:11 Be led by the Spirit. Romans 8:14 In the sinful nature – a slave to the law of sin. Romans 7:25 Baptised into Christ – raised to new life. Romans 6:3-4 Offer the parts of your body as slaves to righteousness. Romans 6:19 Live by the Spirit – will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. Galatians 5:16 If live according to the sinful nature – will die. Romans 8:13 Crucify the sinful nature. FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT (2) Put off the old self corrupted by deceitful desires Be made new in the attitude of the mind and put on the new self created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24 Take off the old self And put on the new self which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its creator. Colossians 3:9-10 The mind of sinful man is death, it does not submit to God’s law. Romans 8:7 The mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:6 Do not set the mind on what the sinful nature desires… Set the mind on what the Spirit desires. Romans 8:5 Set the heart and mind on things above. Colossians 3:5 DARKNESSFRUIT OF THE LIGHT Impurity, greed, obscenity, foolish talk, coarse joking. Ephesians 5:3-4 Goodness, righteousness and truth. Ephesians 5:9 Flee the evil desires of youth…Pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. 2 Timothy 2:22 GET RID OF: 1. bitterness, rage, anger, brawling, slander, malice Ephesians 4:31 be kind, compassionate, forgiving. Ephesians 4:32 2. anger, rage, malice, slander, filthy language… Colossians 3:6 clothe with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience – all bound with love. Colossians 3:12,14 3. All moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent… humbly accept the word planted in us which can save. James 1:21 4.
