9. www.nhs.uk/healthspace Taking HealthSpace Forward Progress To Date We have identified six areas where patients could benefit from online access: – Obtaining & Storing Information (eg on treatments, specialist hospitals) – Making Appointments (eg with GPs) – Obtaining Repeat Prescriptions – Stating Preferences (eg living wills) – Self-Care (eg for LTCs) – Improved Accessibility To The NHS (eg through email) We are now looking at how these online patient services can be provided in a way which is easy-to-use, cost-effective & secure (an interesting balancing act…)
