Our health depends on many factors:
-lifestyle, -physical activity, -habits, -food we eat -the environment.
If you want to keep fit you should:
get up early, sleep 7-8 hours a day, eat breakfast, have meals regularly, keep a healthy diet, give up bad habits be active
Your food should contain:
protein, carbohydrates, fat, fibre, vitamins, minerals.
It is wholesome for your body to have a balanced diet
- meat, fish and poultry - milk, cheese and eggs - grains and bread - fruit and vegetables
You should try to eat low – fat food, more fruit and vegetables which are rich in vitamins. Avoid eating sugar and sweets.
When people are overweight they try to lose weight
When people are overweight they try to lose weight. They start cutting out snacks and sweets, have low-fat food, count calories. They also join sport clubs to keep fit.
You should take more physical exercises
-attend a sport club -go jogging, cycling and swimming -walk a lot
There are some habits that damage our health: smoking, drinking alcohol, taking drugs.
Remember some facts about your health:
Green tea protects your teeth. Onion is good for your nerves. Banana is good for your muscles. Cranberry helps soothe your tired eyes. Garlic prevents heart disease. Apricot is good for your skin. Milk strengthens your bones. Cabbage may help prevent the development of cancer. Carrots are good for your eyesight. Milk is very good for children.
When you are a teenager, eating healthily is not cool
When you are a teenager, eating healthily is not cool. But eating healthy food is important at different ages.
