4 August 2010 Social Security Administration 4 Project Director’s Report August 2010 International OIS Investigation Objective: To what extent have other nations developed comprehensive OIS and what lessons, if any, from their development and use of OI, particularly with regard to disability adjudication—can be applied to SSA’s efforts? Conducted interviews with OIS officials at the United Nations- International Labor Organization (ILO), Canada, Australia, and New Zealand and obtained documents from them on the development and use of OIS

6 August 2010 Social Security Administration 6 Project Director’s Report August 2010 Social 66 Content Model Project staff has completed a synthesis of Panel content model recommendations, public comments, and the SSA User Needs Analysis (Summer 2009). Project staff, working with the OISD Workgroup and including the synthesis, has drafted a list of OIS data elements for testing.

7 August 2010 Social Security Administration 7 Project Director’s Report August 2010 Social Security Administration Content Model (continued) Some next steps with user identified data elements: Develop measures and scales to enable testing of person-side elements (test instrument) with SSA users Develop initial work analysis instrument(s) for testing June 2010, SSA posted solicitation for contractor services to assist with testing the data elements with SSA adjudicators.
