6 Funds will support College of Business accounting students. Dr. Committe came to UWF in 1967 - three months prior to UWF opening. Served as chair of Finance and Accounting where he hired the original faculty in the department. Dr. Tom C. Committe Endowment ENDOWMENT ESTABLISHED IN HONOR OF DR. TOM C. COMMITTE During the 1970's, the department became the premier program in the state with the highest CPA pass rate of any institution in the state university system. Received distinguished teaching award in 1979. Retired in 2001 and named Professor Emeritus.

7 Johnson Scholarship Foundation Challenge CHALLENGE DETAILS The Johnson Scholarship Foundation has pledged over five years a $600,000 endowment gift to the UWF Foundation to challenge others to gift at least $1 million in scholarship endowment at UWF for need based student scholarships. THE UWF COMMITMENT UWF must raise $1 million in need based scholarship endowments over the five year period. 8 Johnson Scholarship Foundation Challenge CHALLENGE DETAILS The Johnson Scholarship Foundation has pledged over five years $100,000 to challenge others to support First Generation Scholarships at UWF. Gifts to the First Generation Scholarship are also currently matched 100% by the State of Florida First Generation Matching Grant Program.
