Some test with VRVS have been done (conference) + Good audio quality + Multicast connections possible

January 200313 Making the next step: TTF2 DOOCS provides all tools necessary to do remote operation We have good experience with remote shifts and maintenance We need to provide also access to the long term data (DAQ) to the world (talk of K. Rehlich) The control system DOOCS is a adequate control system in the sense of a GAN

January 200314 Making the next step: TTF2 Shows that the web technologies can really help The use of these web techniques will be extended to offer more information: general error and info service (poster of O. Hensler @ PCaPAC 2002) The electronic logbook Web services have proven be the adequate technique for delivering information/documentation in the sense of a GAN

January 200315 Making the next step: TTF2 General technique fulfills our needs Different systems have to be evaluated Techniques have to be improved, users have to get used to these new systems The video systems We will have to work on this area to establish the functionality we need

Rehlich do we need a DAQ to further improve and develop the accelerator Such a DAQ system brings up some new challenges in terms of the huge amount of data The TTF2 DAQ system as an example for a collaborative GAN work

January 200318 DAQ @ TTF2 This huge amount of data is in the range of an average HEP experiment (H1 ~ 110 GB/day) Here we could learn from the experiments We established a collaboration with: Ohio State/Cornell/Zeuthen Work in such a collaboration can only be done in the sense of a GAN
