3  Usually girls give chocolate to boys.  Handmade or from store  It’s a special day for the girls to ask boys out and tell their feelings to them.  If a girl has a boyfriend, she would give it to him first.

4  A Japanese chocolate manufacturer started a marketing promotion in 1958.  They promoted Valentine’s Day as “the day women confess their love to men by giving them chocolate.”

5  What’s giri-choco? - giri-choco is chocolate you give to people you have appreciation (sometimes obligation) towards to. You give them to teachers, guy friends and your boss.
