Make Disciples of all Nations (Every Group) What is the Purpose of our Lives? Matthew 5:13-16 "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. (NIV) Glorify God by being a witness for Christ in our daily lives.

Make Disciples of all Nations (Every Group) Why does God send us out into the world? Matthew 9:36-38 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." (NIV) 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (NIV)

Make Disciples of all Nations (Every Group) What does our Resurrected Lord call us to do? Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (NIV)

Time Is Money? Time = Money Time = Souls Every 35 seconds, one Japanese goes to a Christ-less eternity. Every 6 minutes, one Chinese goes to hell. Every day, more than 2400 Japanese die without knowing Christ.

Church Multiplication (an example) How to reach 6 million people in a district of East Asia. Strategy 1 Win one convert to Christ each day If the missionary retires at age 65, after faithfully evangelizing for 40 years without taking a day off: Total converts would be almost 15,000 BUT 5,985,000 people would still be unreached.

Church Multiplication (an example) How to reach 6 million people in a district of East Asia. Strategy #2 Form 20 church planting teams Each team will plant one church per year. With a goal of one church for every 1,200 people in the region: 6 million ÷1200 = 5000 churches needed 5000 ÷ 20 teams = 250 years In that time 8 generations would have died. The population would have increased to 60 million or more.

Church Multiplication (an example) How to reach 6 million people in a district of East Asia.. Strategy #3 Plant Reproducible Churches Each church should be able to plant another church within one year. The result: Actually, in Asia, they had 55,000 believers meeting in about 4000 house churches within 3 years. 5000 churches could be planted in just over 13 years.

The Priesthood of all Believers Not Only “Preachers” Preach I Peter 3:15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. (NIV) Not Only “Evangelists” Evangelize 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (NIV) All the People of God Function As Priests All offer sacrifices of praise (Hebrews 13:15-16) and obedience (Romans 12:1-8) We all will reign with Christ in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:6-7) We serve others as the salt of the earth and light of the world. (Matthew 5:13-16) The weapons we have can destroy every argument and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5) Revelations 1:6 And [to him who] has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father--to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. (NIV) AMEN!! Acts 2:17-18 "`In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. (NIV)

The Strategy of Jesus How many disciples did Jesus have? Mark 3:13-15 Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. He appointed twelve-- designating them apostles-- {Some manuscripts do not have designating them apostles.} that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons. (NIV) What is the next number of disciples? Luke 10:1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. (NIV) Train all Christians to be disciple-makers.

The 72 were trained by 6 teams. Each team made 12 disciples. The Strategy of Jesus Train all Christians to be disciple-makers. How were the 72 trained? Matthew 10:2-4 These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. (NIV) The 72 were then sent out 2 x 2. 36 teams went out to make 12 disciples per team.

The Strategy of Jesus Train all Christians to be disciple-makers. What is the next number of disciples? 1 Corinthians 15:3-6 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. (NIV) There were more than 500 disciples at the time of Jesus’ resurrection. If these 500 paired up, it would make 250 teams.

The Strategy of Jesus Train all Christians to be disciple-makers. How many disciples could be trained by 250 teams? Acts 2:41 Those who accepted his message were baptised, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. (NIV)

The Strategy of Jesus Train all Christians to be disciple-makers. 2-2-2 Principle 2 Timothy 2:2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. (NIV) 。 The only way to disciple Japan is to pass the baton of "disciple making" to the following generations. Only this can prevent 900 thousand Japanese from going to hell each year. Timothy → faithful people→othersPaul →Barnabus→
