1 Follow these simple directions to create a place to save and share files.

2 Step 1: Check your school email Open your web browser and check your school email account You should have an email like the one to the right. Open that email and click on the “View Folder” button. This will direct you to the Dropbox website.

3 Step 2: Hit the create account button and fill in the required information. Write down this information and keep it safe! DO NOT INSTALL OR SAVE THE APPLICATION IN SCHOOL (Choose Cancel) (Use the “installing and using the dropbox client” posted on Mr. Ponzio’s website for using dropbox at home)

4 Step 2: You should be able to click on your name in the top right hand corner for your account information. If you are having trouble navigating, you can always hit the Dropbox button in the navigation bar to get to the main page. Also, there are two types of folders in Dropbox, shared and personal. If you delete an item in a folder that is shared, you remove it from everyone’s account, not just yours. When in doubt, copy a file instead of altering the original. Personal Shared

5 Step 3: Create a folder, upload a file Click on the Files Tab Here you can: 1. create folders 2. Upload files 3. Share a folder with someone Create a folder for the course you are in now, to back up your personal files *Note: You are limited to space, so select files wisely. You can increase your space by sharing Dropbox with your friends! If they install the application you get another 500 MB of space per installation!
