2 © 2012 Autodesk Class Summary Collaboration between multiple offices and firms is a growing topic in terms of collaboration. Besides connecting people with the project in this session we will be looking at how the Clarity product helps to extend Revit Server. From security to task automation we will be covering a full run through of this process.

3 © 2012 Autodesk Learning Objectives At the end of this class, you will be able to:  Gain an understanding of what Clarity for Autodesk Revit Server is and what it takes to setup and prepare for use  Learn about different configuration scenarios for working with others on larger Revit projects and extended design teams  Get detailed knowledge on how task automation can help provide better ROI on employees participation on projects  Leverage tips on what to do, what to avoid, where potential issues may arise and how to fix them

14 © 2012 Autodesk But First, What is Revit Server? Autodesk® Revit® Server, the Server component of Revit Architecture, Structure and MEP, expands the Revit Work Sharing function to allow designers in a single company with multiple locations to work on a single project at the same time. Revit Server is the foundation for server-based work sharing on Revit projects. A work shared project is a Revit building model of any size and complexity that multiple team members across different geographical locations can access and modify at the same time all within the same company (also called Multi-Office).
