Other Initiatives Military/Civilian Government Workers in leased office space—an issue we must continue to address Infrastructure Grant Applications (3) to Enterprise Florida in support of Naval Support Activity (NSA) Orlando: A Visitors and Business Center next to new gate off of Science Drive ($499K)—not supported Phase IV of the Federal, State, University (FEDSUN) Network installation—to replace pull-boxes, lay conduit and install additional fiber optic cable ($346K)—funded Installation of a Turnstile entry gate between Partnership III and NSA ($49K)—not supported

MS&T Industry Recognition Request to establish North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Codes – Economic Classification Policy Committee denied request in 2002, 2007 & 2012 – “Simulation is not an Industry…” – “…simulation is a method or specialized regimen…” – Models = “…custom computer programming services.” – “…manufacturing of flight simulators” = …”other commercial & service industry machinery manufacturing.” This is an issue for the Congressional M&S Leadership Caucus !

14. Summary MS&T technologies support the war fighter & save lives Simulation is one reason America’s war fighters are the most capable & best trained in the world! MS&T represents a significant economic impact throughout Florida There is every reason why the future epicenter of medical MS&T should also be in Central Florida
