8 What Kids in Hungary Do Kids in Hungary enjoy swimming, bicycling, fishing, horseback riding and playing soccer. Kids in Hungary go to church every Sunday. Girls go with their mother to her church and boys go with their fathers to his church. Kids take music, gymnastics and belong to clubs. They shop at outdoor markets and attend cultural events in the parks. Sometimes they like to put on the old hand embroidered traditional costumes for special festivals.

10 Hungarian Culture Families celebrate a Name Day. This is a day set aside for a person’s name and a small gift is given. On December 6 they celebrate St. Nicholas’ Day when children put out their boots to find candy, fruits and toys in them the next morning. On the last Sunday in May it is Children’s Day when parents take their children to parks, zoos or some other fun outing.
