Rainbow fish are mostly found in Australia and New Guinea.
They are found in rivers, lakes, streams and grassy swamps.
In the early days rainbow fishes were commonly known as sunfishes.
Fish stores usually sell small Rainbow fish that have not developed their true colors.
A well planted aquarium with lot’s of plants make the fishes colorful.
If you keep a lot of males together they will become more colorful.
