8 Bates Technical College Admission Requirements Required: Common Enrollment Application $53.50 non-refundable application fee (subject to change) COMPASS (placement) Test Results determine placement in 100-level core academic classes in communications, human relations, and mathematics. High School Graduate, or… Technical High School -- Eligible high school students between the ages of 16 and 20 may register in career education programs, earning both college and high school completion credits simultaneously. Running Start -- Eligible high school juniors and seniors register in their own school district for the Running Start program and complete coursework at Bates.
