4.  What exactly are habits?

5.  It is important to understand basic ideas first. In this session, we will talk about paradigms and principles. We will talk about the habits of effective teens in the next meeting.

12.  “Proactive people” activity The next slide will show examples of proactive and reactive language. Determine which phrases are which.

13. “If only…” “It’s not my fault” “Who does he think he is anyway?” “That’s unfair!” “I didn’t see it that way; thanks for letting me know.” “It’s none of your business.” “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean that.”

14.  Think about the phrases you just read in the previous slide. During the next 2 weeks, make a conscious effort to see which kind of language you use most of the time.  We will discuss these when we see each other on ______.
