Literacy Objective: (aka – bell work) LA Strand: Standard 8: Research to build and present knowledge. In eMarion, review (re-read) the directions for the assignment we worked last. What function did we use, and how did we make that work? What is relative copying, and how do you make that work. Be sure to write using complete sentences. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation matter!!! Set up your work station for your timed writing activity. I will demonstrate effective and efficient keyboarding skills. I will demonstrate proper keying technique and improve my knowledge of the keys. I will use spreadsheet software to enhance communications. I will learn vocabulary associated with Excel. I will create a spreadsheet as a payroll clerk for a business, GetSmart.

I will place symbols in the library of the same type into folders. I will make thought bubbles fade in. I will create movie clips for three careers. I will make the movie return to the end of the first scene. I will create buttons that allow navigation from room scene to other scenes. I will publish my project. I will prepare for FLASH certification.

Describe the purpose of the Browser Object model (BOM) and how it relates to JavaScript. Describe how obsolete constructs and coding practices affect browser function.
