Abstract

… Camera mounted on the gun will be taking images of the environment which will be processed to detect human. After successful detection the system shall process the image to identify from features already stored in database the person whether he’s potential suspect. Where ever the culprit travels in the scope of camera he will be tracked and remain highlighted.

Professor Tim Cootes Development of statistical models of facial appearance and behavior Development of efficient algorithms to match such models to images and image sequences Development of face recognition algorithms using such models

“Dr David Cristinacce” Development of efficient face location and facial feature location algorithms to track human faces in cars. The final aim being automatic monitoring of driver behavior, e.g. detecting erratic movements or sleepiness, as part of an intelligent in car vehicle system.

In research project group developed a biologically inspired miniature sensor system for real time visual object tracking while utilizing only minimal computation resources.

Project 1: the useful range at which target recognition and identification can be performed in the presence of atmospheric turbulence. Selects the best image with minimal atmospheric turbulence and combines the images closest to it generates better quality images from real time video frames. Project 2: MILITARY IMAGING AND SURVEILLANCE TECHNOLOGY (MIST) provide high-resolution 3-D images to locate and identify a target at much longer ranges than is possible with existing optical systems.
