3 Benchmark Numbers Numbers that help you estimate the number of objects without counting them, such as 25, 50. 100, and 1,000

4 Area The number of square units needed to cover a figure. To find the area of a figure, count the squares inside it. You add squares or multiply the number of squares across and the number going down to find area. 3 x 2 = 6 There are 8 sq units

15 Factor A number being multiplied by another in a multiplication problem Example: 3 x 4 = 12 factor factor

16 Fraction A number that names a part of a whole or a part of a set The top number is the numerator and the bottom number is the denominator. ¾ ½

17 Greater Than When a number is larger than another number. 58 is greater than 32 or 58 > 32

18 Less Than When a number is smaller than another number. 92 is less than 122 or 92 < 122

21 Width How wide an object is something Width can be measured in: inches, yard, miles, millimeters, centimeters, meters, feet, and kilometers

22 Height How tall an object is. Height can be measured in : inches and centimeters

23 Length How long and object is. Length can be measured in: meters, millimeters, centimeters, miles, feet, and yards.

24 Model Is a picture of something or to show how to do something.

25 Money 1 penny = 1 cent or $0.01 1 nickel = 5 cents or $0.05 1 dime = 10 cents or $0.10 1 quarter = 25 cents or $0.25 1 half dollar = 50 cents or $0.50 1 dollar ($) = 100 cents or $1.00
