1 A wise teacher's words spur students to action & emphasize important truths.
Ecclesiastes  12:1

2 A Heart For God My friend, I believe, you've a heart for God, it has not become hardened or tough; There's a spark that's just waiting to burst into life and for God, that is enough. Through the years he has had his hand upon you, He's not willing to turn you loose; He has a purpose and plan for your life, if you're willing to follow it thru. He will not promise a life filled with ease and it may not bring fortune or fame; But His peace that surpasses all of earth's wealth can be yours for you to claim. Though you've chosen to follow after God's own heart there may be times that you'll fail; If you'll remain grounded in His Holy word with His courage and strength you will prevail. There'll be times when you'll be disappointed in those whom you have loved best, But God will be there to restore and help you through all of these trials and tests. If you'll keep your eyes fixed upon Jesus all the storms of life you'll pass through; Whether heartaches, hurts or frustrations, just remember, he's been there too. Some you have trusted will let you down, so don't put your trust in men; Only in God, can real trust be found and He'll prove it to you time and again. Don't think of yourself as unworthy God knows you have what it takes; He sees the one that he wants you to be and already erased your past mistakes. God doesn't look on the outside but looks at the heart within; He sees only the good that's inside you and he knows, you've a heart for him. Helen Johnson I will give them a heart to know me that I am the Lord. Jer. 24:7

3 A Heart For Children One hundred years from now it will not matter What kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, How much I had in the bank nor what my clothes looked like. One hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of school I attended, what kind of typewriter I used, How large or small my church, But the world may be ...a little better because... I was important in the life of a child. - Margaret Fishback Powers

4 Children Learn what they live
Children Learn what they live... If a child lives with criticism, He learns to condemn. If a child lives with hostility, He learns to fight. If a child lives with ridicule, He learns to be shy. If a child lives with shame, He learns to feel guilty. If a child lives with tolerance, He learns to be patient. If a child lives with encouragement, He learns confidence. If a child lives with praise, He learns to appreciate. If a child lives with fairness, He learns justice. If a child lives with security, He learns to have faith. If a child lives with approval, He learns to like himself. If a child lives with honesty, He learns truth. If a child lives with acceptance and friendship,        He learns to find love in the world. - Dorothy Law Nolte

5 Lord Make Me a Zacchaeus Lord preserve me with a youthful spirit child-like faith, a teachable heart For Zacchaeus was an old man. Lord help me to overcome my flesh and that which is physical- for Zacchaeus was a short man. But he climbed that sycamore- make me a Zacchaeus. Lord help me to tackle every problem with a creative solution, Let me climb over obstacles in my way. Lord give me the perseverance to do whatever it takes to catch even just a glimpse of you. Lord I gladly welcome you, come and stay at my house today. Make me a Zacchaeus. Lord compel me to be generous always, and quick to repent. Lord fill me with zeal and vigor. Make me a Zacchaeus. I'm forever grateful That you came to seek and save That which was lost- I was just like Zacchaeus. In Jesus name, Amen. - Natalie H Beaman

6 Psalm 78 verses 1-8 O my people, listen to my teaching
Psalm 78 verses 1-8 O my people, listen to my teaching. Open your ears to what I am saying, for I will speak to you in a parable. I will teach you hidden lessons from our past— stories we have heard and know, stories our ancestors handed down to us. We will not hide these truths from our children but will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD. We will tell of his power and the mighty miracles he did. For he issued his decree to Jacob; he gave his law to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, so the next generation might know them— even the children not yet born— that they in turn might teach their children. So each generation can set its hope anew on God, remembering his glorious miracles and obeying his commands. Then they will not be like their ancestors— stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful, refusing to give their hearts to God.
