New/Future direction Multimedia signal include high-resolution images, realistic 2D and 3D graphics, high-quality multi-channel audio and real-time video Aim: Processing of these data in an effective, secure, and user-friendly manner. This applies to all segments of multimedia and communication systems Applications include: recordings and storage, transmission of the signals, security encryption of the data, reducing the side effects of transmission impairments and in man–machine communications. To support these applications, a new generation of multimedia security and signal processing techniques is needed. The research activities in CMSSP take into account the direction of next-generation technologies which leverages on existing technologies. Three Research Groups have been formed under CMSSP IVP (Image and Video Processing) CIS (Cryptography and Information Security) SPA (Signal Processing and Analysis)
