12 11 The 2 nd EU-Asia Industry Collaboration Seminar culminated the intense engagement with industry across continents  Brought together more than 75 industrial and institutional players from EU and Asia  Discussed current opportunities for GNSS downstream cooperation.  Presented up-to-date market information per application domain for Asian economies.  Presented the services of the GNSS.asia platform and the results it has yielded so far.  EU companies presented their GNSS solutions  Offered the opportunity for direct B2B matchmaking. 14 13 Potential for European GNSS in Asia  Industrial cooperation in downstream sector –Licensing (e.g. Fraunhofer IIS, Ansaldo) –Exporting successful products (e.g. Septentrio, NXP, IFEN) –Exporting services (e.g. GMV, Thales) –Market access/marketing (visibility through profiles, speaking opportunities) –Distribution agreements (e.g. u-blox and Leica).  Connection between upstream and downstream –Support the take-off of local GNSS or SBAS –European competence in system realisation, preparation and certification  Joint research and education initiatives –Multi-GNSS opportunities –Activating IT and engineering pools –Specific GNSS education and training programmes Key achievements-Collaboration

15 14 GNSS.asia mission in India supported concrete industrial cooperation  Main seminar attended by 65 participants including: high-level decision makers, Indian industrial players, academia, European companies and GNSS media  Side meetings organised allowing to consolidate pilot activities and strategy –Railway Board –Indian Council for Agricultural Research –Indian companies active in precision agriculture  Active participation by Europeans –“Thank you for offering us the opportunity to meet high-level decision makers thus allowing us to develop our business in this sector”- Thales. –“Thanks a lot for the successful organisation of the GNSS.asia event in Delhi. We managed to achieve 100% of our goals”- GMV. –Telit and Steria presented their activities in panel discussions  Opportunities arising from GAGAN/EGNOS compatibility were solidified.
