3 African Culture  In Africa, masks are or were used in rituals as part of their religion or beliefs. Some masks combine the features of human and animal to unite man with his natural environment. Usually, African masks were used to allow humans to connect with the spirits of dead people or gods.

4 Peruvian Culture  Similar to the Native Americans that used to roam our lands, the Incas are the natives of Peru. They were used as a way to honor warriors and gods. Certain masks were even used for hunting.

5 Mexican Culture  A popular holiday in Mexico is “El Dia De Los Muertos” or the day of the dead. On this day people use masks to remember the loved ones who have passed. The ancient masks in Mexican culture date all the way to 3000 BC.
