4 Lead from the front Texas Nodal http://nodal.ercot.com 4 Detailed Activities: Preparation Activities 2 Weeks Prior to Support / Testing Window –QSE Receives Resource Data from ERCOT –QSE Validates / Corrects Resource Data and Returns to ERCOT (see circled columns below) –ERCOT Makes Necessary Changes in the MMS

5 Lead from the front Texas Nodal http://nodal.ercot.com 5 Detailed Activities: Preparation Activities 2 Weeks Prior to Support / Testing Window –Note: For All Individual MP / ERCOT Calls, ERCOT will Supply a Conference Bridge Prior to the Meeting Date –QSE Creates Sample XML Files for Prevalidation: Use One Unit from the List Sent by ERCOT Create COP, Create TOP, Create OS and –MP Sends Sample XML to ERCOT for Pre-Validation –ERCOT Pre-Validates Sample Files and Shares Results with QSE –QSE Created Remaining Transactions Based on Sample Files >>> Current XML Samples Fields to be Modified Demo Process for Pre-Validation

7 Lead from the front Texas Nodal http://nodal.ercot.com 7 Detailed Activities: Ping Test Walk Through ~1 Week Prior to Support / Testing Window –“Ping” Test (Note: ERCOT to supply conf. bridge prior to call) NOTE: All EDS 3 Phase 1 Testing will be Over the Internet (not private WAN) Required Personnel (MP) –MP Primary Contact / Project Manager –Individual w/ Administrator Access on Workstation to be Used for UI Access –Network Administrator (issue resolution, if any) Perform Telnet Test from MP to ERCOT MMS UI and EWS Perform Telnet Test from ERCOT to MP Listener (Optional) “Ping” Walkthrough – MMS UI >> –Install xForms Plug-In on MP Browser (requires MP administrator account) –MP User Successfully Authenticates Using EDS Digital Certificate –Screen Properly Paints for MP User (verification of xForms install)

9 Lead from the front Texas Nodal http://nodal.ercot.com 9 Detailed Activities Support / Testing Window Support / Testing Window –2 Hour Support / Testing call (Note: ERCOT to supply conf. bridge prior to call) Date and Time of Call is Noted on the Schedule Sent to Each MP’s Primary Contact Required Personnel (MP): –MP Primary Contact / Project Manager –MP SME (if different than above) –Individual w/ Administrator Access on Workstation to be Used for UI Access (if workstation will be different than the one used in “Ping” test) Walk through Testing Checklist (included with each QSE’s contact) Address Issues (if any) –If possible, issues will be resolved during support call –Unresolved issues will retain a high priority and be addressed following the meeting
