1 WELLNESS Physical – recognizing the need for physical activity; and the importance of diet; sleep; and nutrition Social – Our ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with family, friends and co-workers Emotional – The ability to understand ourselves and cope with the challenges life can bring Spiritual - Expanding our sense of purpose and meaning in life Environmental - The ability to make a positive impact on the quality of our environment, be it our homes, our communities, or our planet Occupational – The desire to contribute in our careers to make a positive impact on the organization we work in and to society as a whole Intellectual – The desire to learn new concepts, improve skills, and seek challenges in pursuit of lifelong learning

2 Wellness Program  The program started in the late 90’s. We have since developed Committee Bylaws.  We currently have 321 employees at Intercity Transit.  151 employees have a payroll deduction in place to support the Wellness program.  We maintain Wellness checking/savings accounts and our treasurer provides reports at our monthly meetings.  The Wellness program receives almost $9,000 annually in employee payroll deductions to provide the activities you will see in this presentation.
