1 Wednesday, October 1, 2008 Warm Up Quiz: Draw two forms of medieval art from what you learned yesterday. I am not looking for two different pictures that you saw in the text, but an example of two different mediums/materials/forms/styles. Use the paper on your table. Turn them in when you are finished, and begin to paint.

2 Thursday, October 2, 2008 Reflection: Collect your sketchbook from the front table Using colored pencils, or paint, make four sections on a page in your sketchbook. In each sections, put colors to represent the four seasons.

3 Monday, October 6, 2008 No painting today, even if you are behind – unless you did the ALL of textbook work with the sub last week. Chapter 15 in textbook pg.337, 1-4 pg. 343, 1-4 pg. 349, 1-10 Use separate paper, not in your sketchbook. I will take them up Monday or Tuesday. All questions are due Tuesday. Why do you have to read in Art? Because background on your projects make the more meaningful.

Name at least three personality traits of the ad or article that are exhibited through the font. Examples: feminine, masculine, youthful, ageless, whimsical, serious, contemporary How does the color strengthen its meaning? October 7, 2008 Reflection: Before you finish chapter 15 …. only use 10-15 minutes to do your warm-up…. Using magazines found in the #5 closet, find five examples of different fonts, cut them out, paste them in your sketchbook, and answer the following questions about each of them separately. When you are finished today is the last day Chapter 15 will be accepted. – Then finish leaf. - Then we have a new project.

12 Thursday, October 23, 2008 Reflection: Put together the hands/feet/face/bodies that you have been creating to make 3 new, original, never seen before cartoon characters. NOTHING FROM TV OR COMICS….NO MARIO, DONALD DUCK, MICKEY MOUSE, SPONGE BOB, ETC…………. There is copy of all of the warm-ups through Oct.31 up here on the cart if you need them.
