AN INTERACTIVE SCIENCE NOTEBOOK WILL HELP SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS!  Research shows that when students use Interactive Science Notebooks they help build their inquiry, communication, and writing skills

3 What is an Interactive Science Notebook?  (ISN) is a collection of all the work we do in science class that is all YOURS!  It is an ORGANIZATION TOOL that allows you to keep track of our notes and allows you to have creativity in the material we do in class  It is a STUDY TOOL for upcoming tests/quizzes and helps with homework  It is an example of what REAL SCIENISTS do!

4 Real Scientists use notebooks Alexander Graham Bell's notes Albert Einstein's notes

5 2 sections to the ISN  LEFT vs. RIGHT side  The left side of the notebook is for “LEARNING” and includes information given by Mrs. Gowgiel  The right side of the notebook is for “REFLECTING” and includes your work, drawings, and graphic organizers  This side is where your CREATIVITY can shine!
