2 In this session you’ll learn:  Review Spending Leaks.  Financial Literacy: Savings, Banking, Interest Rates, Credit Cards and Credit Scores.  How career choices affect your income.

3 “Spending Leaks” Assignment: 1. Share out the “Spending Leaks” assignment. 2. Determine if you might want to make some changes in how you spend money. This isn’t you, is it?

4 What would happen if?... 1. You saved only $1 per day…$7 a week? 2. You saved only $5 per day…$35 a week? If you learn to save, you probably won’t have too many money problems…right?

5 Things to think about: How does the career you choose affect your income? What employee characteristics are important to an employer? How do education and training affect your salary? Is entrepreneurism (running your own company) for you? What employee benefits are important to you?

8 There’s another career path you can take: Own Your Own Business, …it’s called Entrepreneurship Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Mark Zuckerberg, Simon Cowell…they haven’t done too bad.

9 There’s more to work than just money… Earlier, you learned what employers want. But what do you want from an employer— beside money? Employee benefits (additional benefits offered by employers) can include:  Paid Vacation  Paid Sick Leave  Health-Plan Benefits  Retirement Plan Contributions  Tuition Reimbursement
