2 introduction Cloud computing
for anything that delivering hosted service over the internet. a type of internet based computing are delivered to an organization's computers and devices through the internet. Remote access to software or hardware via the internet Storing and accessing data over the internet instead of a computer’s hard drive.

3 Types of cloud computing

4 Types of cloud computing
It is made to everyone in the internet by service provider who hosts the cloud infrastructure. Service providers make resources like data storage or software available on the internet. Examples: (Amazon, IBM, Microsoft and Google )

5 Types of cloud computing
Cloud infrastructure dedicated to particular organization or group of people. Is designed with the same features of public cloud but removes a number of objections to the cloud computing model Example : (Social networking, Icloud, )

6 Types of cloud computing
Community cloud Is a multi-tenant cloud service model that is shared among several or organizations. Managed, governed and secured by all the participating organizations or third party service provider. Examples: (between companies and their suppliers )

7 Types of cloud computing
Hybrid cloud Is a combination of two or more clouds (private, public or community) The goal is to combine services and data from variety cloud models Examples : (organization use public cloud for archived data and private cloud for customer data )

8 Traditional computing required
cooling Resources: Servers & staff Software Storage Security power Disaster recovery testing Development

9 benefits of using cloud computing
Scalability & flexibility Accessible at Anytime, Anywhere 24/7 Offers the ability to scale up during the peak demand and scale down when its not required Scale Down Scale Up

10 benefits of using cloud computing
Reduce spending money on technology infrastructure & staff Increase profit Reduce capital costs

11 benefits of using cloud computing
Pay as you use If the website on demand you can easily & immediately run another servers on the cloud If you not on demand you can easily set the off By that you are using the electricity concept of paying

12 benefits of using cloud computing
Easy & agile to deployment & instant Minimize licensing new software. Doesn’t required a lot of training and less people required thus make it easier to deploy No set up, all you need is signing in through username and password No IT infrastructure required

14 Service models of cloud computing

15 Success stories of cloud computing Google apps
Google Cloud achieves economies of scale through multiple tenancy on their infrastructure using cloud computing Adopting of cloud computing by business offers high availability, reduction in operational staffing overhead, reduce and infrastructure costs. Google Apps for Business to provide a more social and collaborative environment to support its teams spanning the globe.

16 Success stories in cloud computing
Google Docs Online documents with real time collaboration, information sharing and built in security Google Docs enables collaboration and innovation at work. Other companies can also use these apps on their own to be more productive and collaboration with people inside or outside the company in a secure manner is radically

17 Success stories in cloud computing Amazon
Amazon achieves thousands of customers enrolled in their program, spanning more than 190 countries worldwide. Amazon gain $750 million revenue by using cloud computing Cloud computing is a model for enabling convenient, on demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources Scalable Cost effective Reliable Secure and large scale

18 Success stories in cloud computing Amazon
Elasticity and scalability:  Cloud computing allows the ability to expand and reduce resources according to your specific service requirement. Resiliency: The resiliency of a cloud service offering can completely isolate the failure of server and storage resources from cloud users. Workload movement: This characteristic is related to resiliency and cost considerations cloud computing providers can migrate workloads across servers

19 Success stories in cloud computing IBM
95 percent of server provisioning and de-provisioning requests are made via the cloud, where it is available and the speed, ease of use and streamlined process made possible by the cloud. that impacts the efficiency of key groups of employees and ultimately IBM’s ability to be innovative It provides the most opportunity for transformative improvement by 75% improvement in hardware utilization Putting powerful analytics in the hands of sales marketing and other IBM business groups to solve business challenges, improve efficiency and exploit opportunities for revenue and growth

20 Cloud computing problem of Stanford School of Medicine:
The biggest problem of cloud computing for the university is ‘Security’ Location of cloud service provider is housed: Their HIPAA-protected information must reside within the United States and cannot be exported. Cloud service providers have data centers throughout the world, and it is very possible that their data stored with the cloud service provider may be housed outside the United States.

21 Cloud computing problem of Stanford School of Medicine:
Loss and damage information not getting proper handling: Company handling HIPAA-protected information must sign a Business Associates Agreement (BAA) But, the cloud service providers that offer services, are not willing to sign a Business Associates Agreement. And lack of management of cloud computing providers in the data transfer, indirect lead to the information exported.

22 Cloud computing solution of Stanford School of Medicine:
To help address the security risks involved with cloud computing, the School of Medicine has created a set of best practices. Information Security Service They can perform an information security audit of the cloud computing companies and services that they interested in. Check the company they are interested in is already on the list of approved that meet their requirement.

23 Cloud computing solution of Stanford School of Medicine:
Service Level Agreement (SLA) Participate in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) process for the cloud service vendor company. This help to ensure that the SLA addresses issues that could potentially affect their data, including the monitoring of their data and ensuring that the service provider performs regular vulnerability scans.

24 Advantages of Cloud Computing
Can be less expensive compared to buying software and hardware Can be used from any computer or device with an Internet connection The device does not need as large of an internal storage system Compatible with most computers and operating systems Updates occur across the service

25 Advantages of Cloud Computing
Almost Unlimited Storage: Storing information in the cloud gives almost unlimited storage capacity. Backup and Recovery: All the data is stored in the cloud, backing it up and restoring the same is relatively much easier than storing the same on a physical device  Automatic Software Integration: cloud computing allows to customize the options with great ease.

26 Disadvantages of Cloud Computing
Technical Issues: there are times when this system can have some serious dysfunction Security in the Cloud: Before adopting this technology, you should know that you will be surrendering all your company’s sensitive information to a third-party cloud service provider. This could potentially put your company to great risk.

27 Disadvantages of Cloud Computing
Prone to Attack: Storing information in the cloud could make your company vulnerable to external hacks attacks and threats Slow speeds: Uploading and downloading of large documents may take a long time. With limited features: Using remote software that’s provided by the storage service to manipulate and modify your data, it usually lacks the features of a program running locally.

28 Conclusion Considering the recent advances and offerings in Cloud computing it is clear that this technology is here to stay. Currently all of the big players in the IT industry such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon have some sort of Cloud computing offering. Cloud computing is changing the way IT industry buy IT. Businesses have a range of paths to the cloud, including infrastructure, platforms and applications that are available from cloud providers as online services.
