False Prophets Ezek. 13:3-9

The Immediate Context Some were prophesying there would be a swift return from captivity and that Jerusalem would not be taken by the Chaldeans They promised safety where there would be none – Ezek. 13:10-16

The Broader Application God has always condemned false prophecy – Deut. 18:20-22 Which is really just a lie – Prov. 6:16-19 But in this case is even worse – 1 Tim. 4:1-5, Eph. 5:6-10

For Us Today The Lord made Himself clear – Mark 13:21- 23, Matt. 24:36-42 Yet people still try to claim to be prophets – 1 John 4:1-6 God’s wrath will be on them just as it was on every false prophet before!

To lie is sin enough, but to lie about God and slander Him and His Word is abominable! Beware of false prophets! If you have any questions or comments on this lesson, please send a message to: feedback@truthandright.org
