Podcasts A podcast is a digital media file that are shared over the web using syndication feeds, for playback on portable media players and personal computers.[1] A podcast is a specific type of webcast which, like 'radio', can mean either the content itself or the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also termed podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster. The term "podcast" is a portmanteau of the name of Apple's portable music player, the iPod, and broadcast; a pod refers to a container of some sort and the idea of broadcasting to a container or pod describes the process of podcasting. More about the name itself can be found in the history of podcasting article. digital mediasyndicationfeedsportable media playerspersonal computers[1]webcastradiohost authorportmanteauApple'siPodbroadcastbroadcastinghistory of podcastingdigital mediasyndicationfeedsportable media playerspersonal computers[1]webcastradiohost authorportmanteauApple'siPodbroadcastbroadcastinghistory of podcasting 90' S Essential Traxx- by RADIO SMILE CATEGORIES: Entertainment/Music /Electronic Music, International Podcasts/ItalianoLATEST EPISODE:November 18 - 90' S Essential Traxx 18.11.2006 - part 3 AUTHOR:Radio Smile 90' S Essential Traxx- by RADIO SMILEEntertainmentMusic Electronic MusicInternational PodcastsItaliano90' S Essential Traxx 18.11.2006 - part 3 90' S Essential Traxx- by RADIO SMILEEntertainmentMusic Electronic MusicInternational PodcastsItaliano90' S Essential Traxx 18.11.2006 - part 3 This podcast interests me because it has all different kinds of music and is updated so you can listen to music from now to back in the day. I also like how it is seperated into parts.

BLog A blog is a user-generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order. Blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of most early blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual although some focus on photographs (photoblog), sketchblog, videos (vlog), or audio (podcasting), and are part of a wider network of social media. user-generatedjournalchronological orderonline diaries photographsphotoblogsketchblogvideosvlogaudiopodcastingsocial mediauser-generatedjournalchronological orderonline diaries photographsphotoblogsketchblogvideosvlogaudiopodcastingsocial media http://www.blogarama.com/ - blog directory http://www.blogarama.com/ http://www.atwistofhumor.com/ I found this blog of interest because it was humorous and not so serious. While I was looking through the blogs, they were all so serious and boring and this one came as interesting to me. http://www.atwistofhumor.com/

Wiki A wiki (IPA: [ ˈ w ɪ.ki ː ] or [ ˈ wi ː.ki ː ][1]) is a website that allows visitors to add, remove, edit and change content, typically without the need for registration. It also allows for linking among any number of pages. This ease of interaction and operation makes a wiki an effective tool for mass collaborative authoring. The term wiki can also refer to the collaborative software itself (wiki engine) that facilitates the operation of such a site, or to certain specific wiki sites, including the computer science site (the original wiki) WikiWikiWeb and online encyclopedias such as Wikipedia. RSS RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated digital content, such as blogs, news feeds or podcasts.Users of RSS content use programs called feed "readers" or "aggregators": the user subscribes to a feed by supplying to his or her reader a link to the feed; the reader can then check the user's subscribed feeds to see if any of those feeds have new content since the last time it checked, and if so, retrieve that content and present it to the user. The initials "RSS" are variously used to refer to the following standards:Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0),Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91, RSS 1.0), RDF Site Summary (RSS 0.9 and 1.0). web feedblogspodcastsaggregatorsRDFweb feedblogspodcastsaggregatorsRDF http://www.rss-network.com/ http://www.rss-network.com/ http://www.rss- network.com/rss2html.php?XMLFILE=http://www.5stardog.com/rss/rss.asp I chose this RSS directory because it was all about dogs. It was about different types of dog foods, means of training and so on. I liked this RSS because I have grown up having a family dog my whole life and when I live off on my own I want to get my own dog. http://www.rss- network.com/rss2html.php?XMLFILE=http://www.5stardog.com/rss/rss.asp http://www.rss- network.com/rss2html.php?XMLFILE=http://www.5stardog.com/rss/rss.asp

Streaming Video Streaming video is a sequence of "moving images" that are sent in compressed form over the Internet and displayed by the viewer as they arrive. Streaming media is streaming video with sound. With streaming video or streaming media, a Web user does not have to wait to download a large file before seeing the video or hearing the sound. Instead, the media is sent in a continuous stream and is played as it arrives. The user needs a player, which is a special program that uncompresses and sends video data to the display and audio data to speakers. A player can be either an integral part of a browser or downloaded from the software maker's Web site. http://www.streaming-directory.com/ http://www.streaming-directory.com/ http://www.mptv.net/ I found this site of streaming videos very exciting and interesting because I searched for a few movies and every single one I searched for, this site included. I did have to become a member and fill out a form in order to view the media but it was free. http://www.mptv.net/
