My dream vacation is to Australia. Australia is gorgeous and there is so much to do. I could go snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, visit the rain forests, or go to the Sydney Opera House.

3. The Flight
A roundtrip from Pittsburgh to Cairns is $2,391, and around 28 hours including stops and layovers. The flight stops in Cincinnati, LA, and Brisbane.

4. Resort
I would love to stay on Lizard Island. Lizard Island is a gorgeous private island and resort on the Great Barrier Reef. A room is AUD 1,999 per night. The total is AUD 13,993.

5. Lizard Island
Lizard Island is truly secluded from the rest of the world. The Great Barrier Reef resort is the northern most resort located directly on the Barrier Reef, with 24 powdery-white beaches and 40 luxurious suites. Enjoy secluded picnics on private beaches, five star cuisine and spa treatments. Lizard Island is a National Park covering 1,013 hectares.

6. Sightseeing
At the resort, you could go on a dive trip or a snorkeling trip. You could visit the spa or some of 24 beaches on the island.

7. Totals.
It would cost another AUD 590 for a connecting flight from Cairns to Lizard Island. The cost of food is included in the resort price .
The flight is 2,300. The resort is 14,000 and about 600 for the connecting flight. So that would be around $17,500 in American money.
