Downloading closed captioned video files to play on a PC The captions are in separate files from the video files Download both the video files and the caption files Video files are.asf,.wmv, or other Captioning files are.smi files The two files must be in the same folder for the captions to play, so create a folder for your video and captioned files. Neat Strategy to help students – Manipulating Close Captioned Text Go to folder where the files are downloaded Right-click on the.smi file and open with a text editor like Notepad Change the Font Size to 20 and/or color to red, green, etc..
