Budget allocation-2013: Physics Budget allocation-basic financing programs-2013 (mln. AMD)

Budget allocation-2013: Physics Researchers involved in basic financing programs-2013

SCS Activities Supporting Young Researchers Within the frames of topic-based financing 2008-2010 and Call of proposals for 2011-2013 the minimal rate of participation for young researchers was established -25% of the overall number of all participants. While funding conferences and other scientific activities those ones are supported in which the young researchers outnumbered: in 2009 were funded 23 conferences, in 2010-28. In 2009 and 2010 there were funded 4 and 3 summer schools for young researchers respectively. In order to provide mobility to young researchers 20 young researchers were granted in order to participate in international conferences: 11 in 2009, and 9 - in 2010.

SCS Activities Supporting Young Researchers In 2009 SCS, NFSAT and CRDF launched the Joint Support Programs for Young Researchers (natural sciences and technologies) and SCS launched the same Call in the field of social sciences and humanities. In 2009 there were funded 27 individual and group projects. From 2010 32 projects supporting Young Researchers are funded (16 for PhD students and 16 for research groups) Grants for PhD students: 25 for 2013. Within the frames of the Call of Joint proposals with CNRS, FFR and RFH, encouraged especially those projects where young researchers were involved.

R&D sector - International Cooperation: Bilateral Agreements All the policy and strategy documents adopted during last decades directed to the regulation and the development of S&T and Innovation in Armenia, stress the importance of the development of international cooperation in S&T. SCS (Armenia) and CNRS (France) signed a bilateral cooperation agreement in January 2009. The agreement provides framework for exchanging scientists of the two countries, implementation of joint scientific and research programmes, organisation of joints scientific conferences and seminars. The joint programme is implemented with the contributions of the two sides. In November 2010 a trilateral agreement on the establishment of joint laboratories was signed between CNRS, the NAS RA and SCS. Three laboratories were established in the fields of geological sciences, archaeology and physical research.

R&D sector - International Cooperation: Bilateral Agreements SCS (Armenia) and Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR, Russia) signed a bilateral cooperation agreement in February 2012. The joint programme will start from 2013. Ministry of Education and Science (MES, Armenia) and Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF, Germany) signed a bilateral cooperation agreement in August 2011. The joint programme will start from 2013. SCS (Armenia) and Russian Foundation for Humanities (RFH, Russia) signed a bilateral cooperation agreement in February 2011. The joint programme is implemented from 2011. SCS (Armenia) and Foundation for Fundamental Research (FFR, Belarus) signed a bilateral cooperation agreement in November 2010. The joint programme is implemented from 2011.

Bilateral Joint Programs Russian Foundation for Humanities (RFH, Russia) From 2009;3 joint laboratoties;10 annual travel grants; 1 joint group Centre National de la Recherce Scientifique (CNRS France) Foundation for Fundamental Research (FFR, Belarus) State Committee of Science (SCS, Armenia) From 2011; 17 annual grants From 2011; 7 annual grants Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR, Russia) Will start from 2013 Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF, Germany)
